12th July

The last weather prediction I looked at said it was to be sunny again today.
It started out sunny, but, by this afternoon (when I emerged from watching the NPPW - Who Dares Wins) it was looking definitely not so sunny, and now we may have scattered thunderstorms!

The whole barn swallow family is hanging out on the garage roof.  I was not sure I would get a photo of the juvenile today, this morning he was swooping all over the area and the parents were flying around with him.  Luckily they posed for a family portrait for me.

The baby Robins are getting bigger.  One of the parents was sitting in the Hazel tree yelling at me since I was so close to the babies.  When I cropped and enlarged the photo I see why they were concerned, they had a beak full of some insect or other ready to deliver to the babies.

Now, after months (okay, a couple of weeks) the kitchen is finally finished.  Except for the floor, we will take care of that tomorrow.  And in case you're wondering, yes, it really is that large.

Your kitchen is very 4 legged baby friendly. Lovely to see a cat under the kitchen table.

Bird families all doing well. Do you think the parents will stay in the area once the babies have left the nest for good ?

The pets like the kitchen, but that's probably because we spend so much time in there. I'm not sure about the birds, but since I see the swallows hanging around in large groups, I would assume the family would at least hang out together once the young one is on his own.
